China calls for closer ties in customs, security among SCO members

Premier Li Keqiang is in for the Shanghai Cooperation Organization prime ministers’ meeting in the Kyrgyz capital Bishkek. Premier Li called on all SCO members to further cooperate in customs and security affairs. He says China is ready to boost regional trade with other SCO members.

On Nov 2, Premier Li met with the Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev and his counterpart Sooronbay Jeenbekov. Both countries signed a number of deals in areas including technology, production capacity, and transport. Kyrgyzstan is the first leg of Premier Li’s ongoing eight-day tour, which also include Kazakhstan, Latvia and Russia.
