China declares opposition to protectionism of any forms

BEIJING — China opposes protectionism in any form, according to a government work report delivered by Premier Li Keqiang at the opening of the annual parliamentary session on March 5.

The work report noted the trend of “deglobalization” and protectionism is growing.

The country will become more involved in global governance and steer economic globalization to see it more inclusive, mutually beneficial, and equitable, according to the report.
