SOCHI, Russia — China and Kazakhstan pledged on Dec 1 to make joint efforts to push forward bilateral pragmatic cooperation, especially on production capacity.
This year marks the 25th anniversary of the establishment of China-Kazakhstan diplomatic ties, and it is also another year of good harvest for the development of the bilateral ties, Premier Li Keqiang said at a meeting with his Kazakh counterpart, Bakytzhan Sagintayev.
The Chinese side is glad to see the fruitful early harvest of bilateral cooperation on production capacity and hopes that the two sides will work jointly to implement their consensuses and review related achievements and experience so as to promote their pragmatic cooperation, said the Premier.
China is willing to strengthen cooperation with Kazakhstan in trade and green agriculture, Premier Li said, calling on the Kazakh side to make it more convenient to travel between the two countries so as to facilitate cooperation between enterprises of the two countries.
For his part, Sagintayev spoke highly of the two countries’ production capacity cooperation, saying it plays an exemplary role in Kazakhstan-China economic ties and injects strong impetus into the bilateral relations.
The first forum on Kazakhstan-China local cooperation, which was successfully held in South China’s Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region in September, has expanded bilateral cooperation to new areas, he said.
Kazakhstan is willing to implement the important consensuses reached by the two countries’ leaders, and create favorable conditions for further Kazakhstan-China production capacity cooperation, so as to promote all-around practical cooperation between the two countries, Sagintayev said.
