Premier Li Keqiang met with Willem-Alexander, king of the Netherlands, at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on Feb 7.

Premier Li spoke highly of Sino-Dutch relations, which are developing with strong momentum. China is ready to keep high-level exchanges with the Netherlands, and promote mutually beneficial cooperation, in an effort to push forward the bilateral relationships on the basis of mutual respect, equal treatment and win-win results, he said.

The Netherlands is at the forefront of the world in agricultural technology, port logistics and management, the Premier said, adding that China is ready to deepen cooperation in these fields, expand trade, enhance exchanges in technology and facilitate customs clearance, as well as to serve the integration between the Belt and Road Initiative and development strategies on the Dutch side.

Willem-Alexander said the bilateral relations between China and the Netherlands are at their best. As China’s third largest trade partner in the European Union, the Netherlands is China’s portal into the region, he added.

The king said he welcomes China to expand investment in his country, and is willing to strengthen trade relations with the Chinese side, deepen cooperation in agriculture, logistics and transportation, and further open markets to each other.
