Premier meets Indonesian guest

Premier Li Keqiang met with Luhut Binsar Panjaitan, the Indonesian president’s special envoy and coordinating minister for maritime affairs, in Beijing on April 12.
Premier Li said China and Indonesia are linked by the ocean and share comprehensive common interests.
This year marks the fifth anniversary of the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two sides, Premier said, adding that China is willing to increase high-level exchanges with Indonesia and enhance the connection between the Belt and Road Initiative and the development strategies of the nation.
The Premier said that China is also willing to promote cooperation in infrastructure, investment, and capacity cooperation based on each other’s complementary advantages, thus benefiting the people of both sides and contributing to regional peace, stability, and prosperity.
Luhut said that as the envoy of the Indonesian president during the visit, he will promote the dovetailing of the Belt and Road Initiative and Indonesia’s regional comprehensive economic corridor, and deepen pragmatic cooperation, to achieve win-win benefits.
He also invited Premier Li to visit Indonesia to further boost bilateral ties.
State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi also attended the meeting.
