Premier Li welcomes German chancellor to Beijing

Premier Li Keqiang held a welcoming ceremony in Beijing for German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s visit to China on May 24.

Before the ceremony, Premier Li had a breakfast meeting with Merkel, exchanging opinions regarding Sino-German and Sino-European relations, among other issues.

It is Merkel’s first visit after she took office as German chancellor of the new government, and the 11th visit as German chancellor.
