From May 21 to 22, State Councilor and Secretary General of the State Council Xiao Jie went on an inspection tour of Guizhou province on administrative reform and Internet Plus government services.

He urged local governments in Central and Western China to expedite the construction of a digitalized and integrated administrative service platform, as a move to build a service-oriented government for people.

In Guizhou provincial and Guiyang municipal government service centers, Xiao talked with the staff and the people they were serving about the progress in cutting red tape and building an integrated online-offline administrative network. And he also held a symposium for local governments’ advice.

He acknowledged Guizhou’s development in the digital economy and online administrative service, and urged solving obstacles of most concern to enterprises and people.

These efforts will help improve the business environment, inject vitality into the market, and provide convenience to people, he said.

Xiao stressed the people-centered principle and called for information sharing among different departments and standardized services, while guaranteeing internet security, resulting in administrative approval and other services for people being completed in one place.

With the simplified approval process, enhanced supervision and improved services, high-quality development in the economy can be achieved, he said.
