State Councilor Wang Yong addressed a conference in Beijing deploying a provincial-level assessment on the fire prevention work of 2017.

Wang said that fire prevention is a serious matter for people’s security and an important part of economic and social development.

Fire prevention assessment, Wang said, serves as a significant system for the sector, effectively pushing forward the fulfillment of obligations for fire safety work.

Assessment groups should pin down the weak links in regional fire safety work and address problems with immediate effect, efficiently curbing any mishaps. And the related fire safety regulations should be fully implemented.
