Premier Li Keqiang co-chaired the 20th China-EU leaders’ meeting with European Council President Donald Tusk and European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker in Beijing on July 16.

Both sides agreed that in the current global environment, China and Europe — being two major forces and economies in the world — should work together to maintain the rules-based international order. The two sides should promote multilateralism, support free trade, and promote global peace, stability and development.

After the meeting, the two sides will release two joint declarations. One will be on the 20th China-EU leaders’ meeting, and the other on climate change and clean energy.
