At the 17th National Congress of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions (ACFTU) on Oct 24, Premier Li Keqiang talked about a craftsman he met during one of his inspections, who made molds using both modern and ancient technologies, leading to good sales of his products in Europe.
He said craftsmanship is the lifeblood of Chinese manufacturing, and skilled craftsmen were needed for production of both daily necessities and high-grade and precision products.
As long as China promotes the craftsmanship spirit and makes innovations in its incentive mechanism, domestically made products will be popular around the world, not only for the prices, but for their high quality, Premier Li said.
