Premier pledges support to potato industry

Premier Li Keqiang on Feb 1 visited a farmer’s house during his tour of Qahar Right Wing Front Banner, in the city of Ulaanqab, North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region.

He chatted with villagers and praised the roasted potatoes made for him.

Hearing Ulaanqab is one of the primary production areas of high-quality potatoes, Premier Li said the government will work more to improve farm product structure and promote the region’s potato industry.
