BEIJING — China's National Cultural Heritage Administration has launched a three-year campaign to strengthen and improve the fire safety of cultural relics nationwide.
The campaign, which started this month and runs through Dec 2022, underlines clearing responsibilities in strengthening fire safety of cultural relics as well as continued efforts to address safety hazards at the root.
Infrastructure on fire control should be stepped up, the action plan of the campaign said, adding that the fire safety system and emergency plan should also be improved with targeted management.
The campaign will be carried out in four phases, including mobilization and deployment, fire hazard checks, rectification and implementation of approaches targeting tough issues, as well as consolidation and refinement, according to the plan.
