North China’s Tianjin municipality initiated measures for quick picking-up and unloading in 2019, saving time for both importers and exporters. Ships do not need to wait for offloading in the Tianjin Port, and exporting enterprises do not need to be present at the port to send out their goods.

It took one or two days for an enterprise to claim imported goods from the containers at the Tianjin Port, and that has now been reduced to about 1.5 hours. As a result, the new measures have largely reduced port logistics costs for enterprises, served to create a sound environment with more efficient customs clearance, and contributed to stabilizing foreign trade.
