12 COVID-19 patients discharged from hospitals on Chinese mainland

BEIJING — Twelve COVID-19 patients were discharged from hospitals after recovery across the Chinese mainland on Dec 5, the National Health Commission said in a daily report on Dec 6.

There were 279 confirmed cases still being treated, including six in severe conditions, the report read.

As of Dec 5, the Chinese mainland had reported a total of 86,619 confirmed COVID-19 cases, among whom 81,706 had been discharged from hospitals after recovery and 4,634 died of the disease.
